Lincoln, USA, June 6, 2019 – Germany won its second match in three days and third overall following their 3-0 (25-15, 25-22, 25-16) victory over Korea on Thursday in Lincoln, Nebraska, USA.

Germany Head Coach Felix Koslowski: “(Getting two wins this week) means a lot for our programme. This is the first week that we have almost the whole team complete, and we only had 5-6 days training together. The team is improving match-by-match, day-by-day. Of course, victories always help to grow the confidence. For a young group it is always important for the confidence to grow. I am very happy. This week we took much more than I expected. We are happy to improve our volleyball and take some points for the rankings. Now we are satisfied going back to Germany and playing next week.”

Germany Player Louisa Lippmann: “I think it was a really good week for us. It was a great atmosphere, but also for sure the matches because we got two victories. That is very important to us. We are really happy and looking forward to playing in Germany.”

On playing at home against Netherlands, Belgium and Dominican Republic: “I think we have to keep at this level, but it is more important to work on things we were not so good at this week.”

Korea Head Coach Stefano Lavarini: “The last two matches, I did not see improvements. I saw the opposite. This competition is a really high level, a really hard competition for us. Yesterday I did not like how we approached the match and the way we didn’t fight. Today we tried to do much better, but probably we are a little bit tired from the trips. I hope we can rest the next couple days while we travel to Italy. We hope to continue learning and improving.”
