Ankara, Turkey, May 29, 2019 – Turkey defeated Germany and claimed a first victory in front of their fans on day 2 of week 2 of the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Nations League in Ankara on Wednesday.

Turkey captain Meryem Boz: “We played better than yesterday. We had a good performance especially in attack.”

Turkey coach Giovanni Guidetti: “I can say that we played better than yesterday. We showed a great performance – but that is our level. It was a nice game, we played three sets well and served well-”

Germany coach Felix Koslowski: “After Turkey’s loss yesterday, we knew that it was going to be a tough match. We made a lot of mistakes, ups and downs were decisive to the result.”
